What dog food{s} do you feed your doggies and why ? Lately Sim & I have been using Blue Buffalo . I know there are some local options as well as other alternatives. I'd be curious to see a running list of what people choose and why.

Chloe has food allergies, so we give her a special food: Iams Skin & Coat Response FP (the FP stands for fish & potato). Here's a link to the product:

By the way, we were feeding Chloe the Blue dog food brand when she was much younger. She did not respond well to it, but that was before we realized she had allergies. So I wouldn't recommend that for any dogs with food allergies. She liked it, though.
Beth-with Vegas, Rocky & Kona ---We feed our three, Nutro Ultra Large breed for the two big kids, and Nutro Ultra puppy for Kona- the baby. He also gets his food mixed with wet food so he doesn't inhale his food. We use Solid Gold Fish and Sweet Potato. There are a lot of web sites that talk about the best foods and how to determine if a food is full of good stuff or fillers. You know, like what to avoid and what to look for. Just remember when switching their food do it slowly- it should take a week or even two to switch them. That is provided you aren't having serious problems with the food you are currently using. Also keep in mind the food bags usually recommend way more food than your dog actually needs.We spend about three to four hours every 6 months or so researching many different dog foods in order to keep current. So far we have had the most success with the brand mentioned above. However, ONLY the Ultra. The other variations are not as good- in my opinion. Best of luck-hope this helped.

We like the fact that it is a local company and they offer free delivery if you order enough. If anyone would like to go in on deliveries, I'm sure we could work something out.
